Playhouse Plaza

With an institutional capital partner, IDS Real Estate Group acquired the former Biggars Furniture site on the premier corner of Colorado Boulevard and El Molino Avenue in Pasadena. Working with the City, the Playhouse District stakeholders, and renowned architects Stefanos Polyzoides and Gensler, IDS designed Playhouse Plaza, a 5-story 155,000 square foot iconic office, retail, and restaurant building that complements the neighboring historic Pasadena Playhouse. Rising prominently on the Rose Parade route, Playhouse Plaza was completed on time and under budget, and is the home to the first US office of Alibaba Group.
